Doesn't ss2000 limit boost?
Sports Sedans down here also used to (maybe still do)

Production Racing runs a boost limit too, and check them vs onboard data loggers.

SS2000 runs a boost limit. They do check them with some sort of on-board logger....

I believe it's a little box you plug into the manifold and it shows a light when you hit what ever it's set to

Agreed with Leon. Spot on there, a series isn't the way to go. Superlap is one thing, a full-on race series is another.

It would quickly become chequebook racing, given that you can't really have a control class with such old cars, and a Supra isn't the sort of car people want to restrict anyway!

wow, that must be so easy to cheat with, easiest being a hole in the hose the black box ? haha i suppose if the race officials did them just before they went out then that would be the easiest way.

boost

Postby fxgt race » Thu Apr 01, 2010 7:27 pm

ss2000 is 18psi boost, yes black box on the manifold, light comes if ya car boosts over 18psi , dosen't let you know how many times or how much the boost is. It is checked by the scrutineer in our class, I think you get a smack on the hand first time and if it comes on in the next race a little trouble for the driver.

Truenotch wrote:The best way to make a JZ class would be to join up with GTRNZ and run as part of their championship, then have a separate points table etc for just the JZ owners. That solves all the problems associated with getting sactioned or class breakups that Leon mentioned. We already have a lot of classes in the country, so find the one that is the most accomodating and jump in.

And TV costs too much :P :D .

We already are in with the GTR's its called the GTR AGM aka gtr-elite track-day at Taupo AKLD anniversery weekend normally.

The series idea is a Piss take we no it won't happen its just an idea to encourage more Supra owners to the track that is all nothing else and also to add more profile to the car and to show what it can really do in the right hands, something to aspire to :D :D

Really? GTRNZ = http://www.gtrnz.co.nz/ = GT1 GT2 and NZGT in the IRC series, not GTR-elite.
