I heard some tracks have noise restrictions, and my car may be not allowed to race, currently my car is at 91.7db. Car came like that, havent had it changed, and don't really want to spend the money doing it. Can you confirm that noise is not a problem, i think puke has a 95db limit.

if you flip through the flickr link you will see two ke70 corollas ( one red one black )
they were both powered by rotarys and at a guess where over the 100db mark,
on that day we had ( and always have ) a taupo offical there, said cars didnt make him wave any sticks

but yes 95db is the limit at most if not all tracks in nz

its run as an open pit format so you start in the pits , makes life easy, get about 8 or 10 laps, which is fair enough, because you have 40 other cars waiting to get out on the track too,

Ok im bumping this back up as i need a little more info...

-Room: Is there still room for me to get in on this?

-Driver training: As this is my first time hitting the track will there be an introduction or driver training?

-Saftey stuff: Helmet, Overalls, Extingisher. This is what i have, anything else needed or recommended.

-Saftey: I have normal seats and seatbelts, is this ok?

-Transport: Do you think a car trailer is the best option just incase of an acceident?

Thanks all, Barark.

shit 20 questions

right, cut off for entree for teh day is tomorrow night, as its been open for close to 7 months now

driver training, well this is sort of a grey area,i will have to be honest and say no not really, the cars are spaced apart about 8 to 10 sec ( basicly pit to end of first corner ) which is plently of lee way,

safety stuff, what you have is fine, and normal seat belts are fine

transport, thats interly up to you, i normaly do, but this year im driving my car there
