New Plates

Does anybody know if its possible to get new plates while a car is on hold? The answer is probably on the LTSA website, but we all know how user friendly their search is!

I didnt get new plates made for mine, but i transferred from a standard issue to personalised while mine was on hold. They will just add the fees onto my first rego, not sure about going to new standard issue tho.

Shouldn't be a problem as technically the car is still registered (just exemption class instead of normal use class). When I removed my old personalised plates from my car the woman offered me govt issue plates for $14.95 (or thereabouts) but since I was going from one personalised plate to another I didn't need them.
