I should make a solid effort towards getting the MR2 ready for this.

-exhaust/turbo setup
-complete wiring
-tune
-interior bits and bobs
-suspension
-brakes

Already have like 75% of the stuff I need. Would be a good event to mark the finish of the build I think (something like 3 years off the road now :( )

I'm in for the track day! Its the same weekend as a Wellington event at Port Road so if the car makes it through that event I'll be bring the Mirage up for a bash.

I put a hand up for a non-grass event for the Motorkhana; not so hard on cars that are traveling so far to compete. :)

Who is running the event this time? Will it be a clubsport basic event again? Or not planning on running it under MSNZ this time.

:)

Grass event are generally "easier" on cars than sealed motorkhanas and a paddock is usually easier to find than a piece of tarmac, Your car will just get dirty thats all

Through Manawatu Car Club again...Manfeild wont hire the track out to non MSNZ affiliated people, or words to that effect.

Yeah dunno what we can do there...if we can get numbers very shortly we may be able to book Manfeild park motel, but there arent too many cheap places to stay in the Manawatu that will accomodate large numbers.

GTTpower wrote:Just out of interest, will the TS sponsors be involved in this? Subsidising the track day etc...

Havent approached them as yet, but I'd like to think they'll come through in some way shape or form 8) The track day wont be all that expensive though, ought to be sub $100 per person.
