Do these not have the factory boost cut thing like the ST185's had? I was under the impression that it was hard to get more power out of GT4's because of this? I have never owned one, this is just what i have heard

boost cut is at 1.25 bar on st205 which is approx 18psi.

the stock ecu is mapped up to 18psi which is just about total fuel dump so its safe (provided u have a fresh turbo build with steel wheel and shaft)

its up on the old st185 which i think is like 13?? or 14??

Oh 18PSI is a good amount, What do ST205's run in stock form?

They run 12-15 depending on the mood ;).

As regarding steel CT20b, I have one in my ST165 and it is great turbo.
I was under impression that to rebuild CT20b you would need either to use CT26 core with some sort of aftermarket shaft and wheels, or machine original core to accept aftermarket parts, ie no off the shelf solution.

stock st205 with ct20b runs 0.9bar / 13psi.

I've seen dyno plots of the wrc st205 (steel wheel ct20b powered 3rd gen 3s-gte) making over 300whp at ~6500rpm on 20psi with stock ecu and fuel cut defender using pump fuel.

regardless of what the uninitiated tell you, the 3s-gte platform is just as potent as the other 2ltr turbos.

I made 266RWHP at 19psi, tons of fueling left, and that was on 3.5 cylinders as well just before the rings and or ring lands gave out.

All depends on the condition of your headgasket, rings, pistons and big ends. I had been getting detonation prior due to failing pump and car had done 230,000 kms so was most likely on the way out anyway.

We hope to make 270-290 RWHP on 16psi with the new pistons, rings head gasket and re-tune.

Wow

FCD on D-jetro, I wanna see some of that!
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

Thanks, I ment Boost levels which has been answered, Not sure if I believe Toyota Factory figures anymore, They seem to always be on the high side and most toyotas can never reproduce whats on paper

I am fairly certain that stock ST205 will do 13.5 - 13.8s 0-400m.
