Good head.

Postby Emz » Tue Apr 27, 2010 10:35 pm

Where's a good place get some head work done?
Needing valve springs supplied and installed and a skim. Will also get them to chuck in my shafts while they are at it.
South Auckland would be preferable but anywhere in Aucks really :)

Yeah - I got Marsh motorsport do machine/balance crank/block/rods for my 4agte.
Friendly guys, and I get the impression that everyone knows exactly what they are doing (no brand new apprentice working on your engine!)
They have top quality machines to do the work. Also a good flow bench and engine dyno.

Go visit them. Tony Marsh is the owner/boss

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Emma - If you seriously want a good job go and see Franklin Cams - Ask for Adrian.

He did my head, Johns (Red Mk3 that does 9's) and Rayglass's Celica. He knows how to work with the JZ heads and can also supply parts at really good prices.

He custom made my camshafts and did my first porting job as well as supply and fit valves, springs and retainers.

Thanks so much guys.
Took my time visiting and talkng with a few of the mentioned places. Went out to see Adrian at Franklin cams too Py7hon, he was very helpful (and will supply me with the valve springs) and referred me to Doug, who I've since dropped all my stuff off to for the work :)
Wasn't too keen on Marsh motorsports, he just didnt seem to take me seriously at all.
