Nah mate, ya dreamin'.

Paddon first kiwi home for sure,
And West will beat mason too!.
Now there is a bold statement.

Paddon is running his own car and team at this event, not the Pirelli car.
(not that it makes much difference)

Yep, I can see the domain from my office :) I might take an early/extended lunch break and go have a watch tomorrow. Also looking forward to the super special stage on Friday night (after some after work drinks of course :D )

sorry Warwrick, how can you not be biased when you were involved in both Sara's and Richards teams????

i'd agree with Matt.
if the top 8 Kiwis have a trouble free run, and going on the their pace at Otago, i would place them something like this:
Paddon
West
Sumner
Gilmour
Mason
Malley jnr

unless mason had done a sh!tload of testing sonce Otago and has found some pace, which he lacked a few weeks ago.

Paddon,Mason and Gilmour are PWRC, so will be further up the start order to the rest of the NZRC, but on a swept road, their won't be any (dis)advantage unless there is a lots of rain.

Sorry I missed the joke tags

Brave pick putting Gilmour and Sumner ahead of Mason! They will only beat him if he has problems.
Westy can match Mason on a good day with things going his way... Ime Mason has the upper hand there with speed and consistancy. Although with the reduced pressure from not running with Wingers/SNZ Westy seems to be more composed now.
Paddon has improved heaps last coupla years thats for sure!

If no one has any issues, then the top three will be Mason, Paddon and Westy with the others behind them.
But as mentioned, the new car seems to be a factor with Mason. But I suspect they will have done a lot of work towards that.

But being rallying, anything can happen! BDA FTW!!!

I am completely unbiased.

I believe pound for pound Mason is still consistently NZ's fastest peddler and RNZ always seems to bring something extra out of him. If he can make it to the end he'll be hard to beat.
Paddon though, being in the PWRC and effectively out of the NZRC, will likely pour on the pace right from the outset and, depending on Westy's attitude, would be my pick to lead after day one.
West was visibly the fastest competitor at Otago, is certainly as quick as the others and is overdue for a result. Perhaps the sentimental favourite but will his luck hold out?
Emma also looked fast at Otago and is right on the pace as her result showed. Is quick & committed. Cannot be ruled out.
