ERR 1 (HDN-061 6-cd stacker issue)

Postby Scrunty » Mon May 17, 2010 2:36 pm

Having this error message popup on my factory six disc :(
CD just happened to try to change to the next cd as I went around a corner (reasonably 'fast')

My google-foo is obviously not up to scratch as I can't find diddly.
As for the searching these forums it never ever seems to pull anything even close to relevant?

Have tried emptying the mag and letting it cycle through the empty slots (in the hope it might reset itself if that makes sense)
And have tryed just using one cd in various slots but getting the same message every time.

Is there any hope or do I have to resort to replacing the whole headunit? :(

Well, from the reading here using my google-fu:

http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=185102

It could be a fault in the loading sensor that tells the player there are cds in it, so it should start the motor to spin the disc. But then there are people on this forum much more knowledgeable than I am, and I'm just playing with my google fu mastery! lol What are the model numbers for the stacker and head unit? Should be two five digit numbers with a dash in between, or alternatively a five digit code beginning with C? There is a guy in Palmie who deals in these, if you still want an OEM set, I can flick you his details?

The stock answer with OEM stackers and head units in general though, is that once not working properly, they are toast and not worth repairing (especially at stealership prices 8O ). I replaced mine as the stacker had a missing cartridge and the lights went funny on my head unit, but always wondered about the OEM one... so when I found a cartridge for it, I had to swap them back around. Came up ERR3 first time.
