Stolen R33 Skyline H8GRIP - Palmy

Postby Dell'Orto » Sun May 30, 2010 2:59 pm

Stolen this morning from Palmerston North, between 3 and 9am.
Fairly recognisable car, being bright red, with white Work rims and a half cage.
As pictured doing its usual antics here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmmXxb4zi-8

If you see it around, please let me know or the police.

Cheers

Pics:

Any info is much appreciated, seems to have been a pro job, alarm not set off, no broken glass or any evidence whatsoever.

I hope it was insured, I doubt you'll ever see it again. Workmates RX7 was taken about a year ago - never heard anything more.

I hope it comes back in good order

I remember a year or two ago something similar happened here where there was a bunch of modified cars got stolen over a period of a couple days

there's been more than one instance of that happening, I remember about 4 years ago approx 8-10 turbo Forresters and WRX's going with 48 hours, and before that I worked in a servo and we'd get the lists of plates / cars gone every week and some weeks it'd be 3 or 4 ordinary cars and some weeks it'd be 6 decent cars and one ordinary car

Very very average to hear :( Shows that we can't get complacent about this stuff.

On Friday at work I had a white Integra full of young guys pull up right next to my car in the work carpark (down the side of the building and all) and check it out for some reason or another... reg CAQ145, has made me suitably paranoid.

An x work mate had some people follow him when he was in his old GT falcon (i think it was the same shape as the GTHO's).. His comment was that it was the quickest trip home he's ever had, and no chance of the other car keeping up

Will keep eyes open even more now!

Have had my Caldina looked over twice by the same guy at my old job, and its not visible from the road either.
Ended up ringing the local police station and reporting it with the plates of his car.

will keep an eye out around welly surely he can't be dumb enough to try and get on a ferry or anything so at least we know what region it is in now, I drive around Wellington all day long so will definitely keep a sharp eye out for it, will send a txt through to a few couriers/truck drivers I know also.

gutting as, I loved that car, such a staunch beast!

Guy was apparently doing doughies in it, and is now minus the front bumper. So if you know of any local spots where cars get dumped perhaps drive by them too.
