I know that car and have always liked the look of it.
I spend alot of time driving around the hutt every day, I was keeping an eye out yesterday/today but will be extra vigilant now that there's been a sighting.

Do we know if the original wheels or plates were on it when sighted?

Fcuk I hope I see it!

Update..... Shinji just rang me few minutes ago... he got the car back now.. .and driving it....

seats is gone and been swap... really messy inside the car.. front bumper is damage. stereo missing, and ignition bits is a mess, as u can imagine..

Thank you everyone for keeping an eye out!!

at least is a happy ending story..

Well, put it this way.... don't think the police know he got his car back yet.. so I told him better let the cops know before he get pull over himself...

The situation is still very complicated - far less than awesome at this stage.

On that note:

If anyone saw this car driving between the Hutt Valley and Porirua areas tonight possibly being followed closely by a Mitsubishi Legnum, we would be interested in any further information about the Legnum (rego?) or drivers of either cars.

please PM me if you have any info at all.

Yeah he does, just dont think he's been in touch with police to let them know its been recovered though.

Good news :) Much better result than most missing performance cars.

I hope someone suffers some consequences from this but at least the damage done to the car is limited.

As above - car has been recovered but the situation around recovery is very dodgy/complicated - so any information is still very much appreciated.

wow thats getting pretty close to home!! there was an r33 stolen from Jville about 3 months ago too .... non turbo though. And im pretty sure there was a post on here a few months back where an AE85 and a R33 got stolen from CHCH .. this shit is getting stupid
