Toyspeed Megameet is on the way and we have a Trackday planned as part of the proceedings!
I will be running the day along with a bunch of handy helpers from our Toyspeed members and attendees of the Megameet, but more on that later.
If you are interested in competing at the track day there are some very important things for you to know.
1. It is being run under a Motorsport New Zealand permit as a Single Car Sprint
2. Harbour Capital Car Club from Wellington is the Motorsport NZ affiliated club administering the event
3. You will need to ensure your car complies with the safety schedule
4. Your personal safety equipment must comply with requirements
5. And… you will also need to read and comprehend the regulations and safety information as this will be the base of which the event will be run from.
Please read the following and if you have any questions to ask. We have three people to answer those questions for you, Cam – CAMB01, Aaron – Gurutasker and Me – Chelles. I ask that you refrain from answering questions to ensure we have a consistency around the technical information given.
If you don’t want to ask questions publicly feel free to email me at the email address in the regulations.
As mentioned I will need helpers to ensure we can run this day safely. I need flag marshals and timing people, with out these essential helpers the event cannot run. If you are going to be at the Trackday and are able to offer a few hours of your time please email me and I’ll add you to the list and keep you up-to-date about the event.
Now, you want to enter? Email me and I will forward on the entry form and info to you. These will be available soon as PDF files for you to download, but for now we’ll do it the old fashioned way.
Happy reading and remember if in doubt ask as that will ensure you get to compete on the day with no hitches.

Note: If you have not changed your brake fluid in living memory please do so as the efficiency may be reduced due to its hydroscopic nature. Also please check there is plenty of brake pad material left as track driving is very taxing on your braking system.
