Can look good on the right car, but it should be natural, which isn't hard for old cars :lol: New cars no.

can look good in right circumstances / vehicle. would be fail in most parts of NZ i reckon, need dry climate to keep it from disappearing in strong breezes after 6 months exposed to the elements

It's a friends bonnet, but yeah he just grinded it back and chucked some battery acid, salt water and piss on it after leaving it out in the rain etc.

Did he apply some sort of coating overtop after or not too worried about it rusting away?

Pretty sure i've read somewhere people put a clear coat or similar overtop of their rusted panels to try and preserve them
