Yahoo Auctions Japan - Second Hand Performance Parts

Postby Fortyone.co.nz » Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:47 pm

OK this is something that a lot of the members have been haggling us about as the value of the YEN still remains low. We get hundreds of queries each week relating to products and their pricing and with the current state of the YEN the Japan Yahoo auctions prices for near-new second hand items are very attractive. We have a lot of queries for sway bars, coilovers, camber / toe / traction arms and electronics, so I will sticky this post so that you all can ask us for pricing and options on items you are after.

If there's any thing off the top of your head that you're interested in - from hoods to knobs to roll cages then ask. We will always quote for EMS shipping from Japan. Payment is required upfront as soon as an auction is won, not when it reaches us in Japan or us here in New Zealand. We can ship to anywhere in the world, so all you foreign members - just ask away!

We will only bid on an auction if you confirm with us, via email first (you're welcome to ask here and / or PM, but we'll bind you via email) what you want to purchase, the total price, your name, phone and address, and that you agree to purchase the product at the agreed total price if the auction is won. Basically, we'll quote you a landed price, and you confirm via email to go ahead!

The total price is to your door, no hidden costs.

Example
If a Sway bar kit in Japan (front + rear) is $400 delivered to you, this includes everything, no hidden costs. You pay the day the auction is won (or beforehand) and we take care of the rest. If the auction goes higher, you can always let us know your top value and we'll secure it for as low as we can below your budget. If you lose an auction there's no fee, payment etc, it's free.

There is no guarantee that we'll win an auction even if we lead the auction for you. Sellers have the rights in Japan, they can withdraw or cancel bids, time differences can affect last hour / minute bid requests and so on. Also, it is buyer beware for second hand items - we can help establish everything from condition to age to useage, but the final decision falls on your shoulders!

Feel free to now post up your shopping lists and let's see how good-a-deal we can get for you!

Sounds good Mac. It is an option I'd looked at in the past but didn't want to get drawn into trying to find shipping, negotiation, etc. May have to spend more time on the Yahoo site now!

Keep up the good work.

Hey

We will always quote for EMS shipping from Japan (as above)

You can use other shipping options, we can quote for anything!

Auctions normally close, 1 more day to pay, one more day to receive in Japan, then ship to NZ, as a best case scenario. Add 1-2 more days to each step for worst case scenario.

Nope, if we list a price, that's the total, delivered to your door, if the auction sells at the current price. If the auction goes up in price (other bids) then naturally the price goes up, which is why you either tell us to buy it right now (if available) or tell us the top dollar for the auction you want to bid on.

How much would that have been? I have already bought it, and it's on it's way in a container.
Would be good to know if I could have saved some $ :)

You could of had that sent via EMS, SAL or Japan post, would be much cheaper than container as container is volumetric!

With EMS around $660, with Japan post a little over $500
