delay before car starts?

Postby .:O4AGTZ:. » Sun Aug 08, 2010 4:35 pm

Well its a 91 corona, my GTZ used to do as well sometimes. Well bascially you turn the key to start it and you sort of hold it there for 3-5 seconds before it actually tries to start. Any idea was this could be?

I would say voltage drop to the starter operating terminal.

A starter overhaul may fix it for a while, but a starter relay will fix it for good.
