the engine in this vehicle has a timing chain not a belt
I thought all 3S where belt...

Correct the AZT246's have a chain, the ST246's have a belt

Why oh why didn't Toyota offer these in Manual? 
Chain or Belt - my understanding is you still need all the tensioners, waterpump etc replaced every 100kms?
