HKS Coilovers

Postby lazy_kiwi » Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:18 pm

Anyone know of someone who can repair a HKS hypermax coilover in Wellington region? I have one that's leaking oil and making a bit of noise - is actually second time this has happened

Car is an 02 Altezza AS200. I know I could send to Auckland (suspensiontech) but the problem is the car can't really be of the road for any more than a day or two max.

So, looking for a local repairer if there are any...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

They have to send to their workshop (racelign) in Auckland. Turn around of about a week.
Can only do minor things there, such as changing bushes and swapping inserts.

TSV suspension in palmerston north rebuilds coilovers. if you arrange it early enough i'm sure he can get it back to you in a couple of days.

very good service and quality work as well.

Hey thanks, they could be the same crowd that fixed it last time. I sent it up to palmie but could not remember their details.

That was around 3 years ago. Is that typical of a repair job to fail in such a relatively short time?

depends what kind of km's you have done in that time and what kind of conditions its been put under.

i'm sure if it was anything to do with the workmanship they would sort it out Dave is a pretty good sort at TSV.

but most shocks/springs are pretty poked after 60000ish kms so coilovers would be about the same maybe?
