he is talking about the 4 plugs that end up down by the ecu which connect to the body loom. - all the right wires should be there, its just a matter of tracing through the 4afe loom and see which wires go to where and rejoining them at the connector.

can't help you though sorry as ae101 and ae111 have all the wires routed differently. we had to track each wire back which took a bit of time but still do able.

Have you worked out what each wire is by using the ECU pinouts of the 4age ECU and the 4afe ECU, then compared? Are the ones you plugged in all the exact same?

I would just be surprised if they all matched up, so wondering if you worked it out or not.

its not for the ecu plugs, its for the body loom. power for all the heaters, dash etc.
they should all match up as you are putting a ae111 motor in a ae111 body. there should be 4 plugs already there and its just a matter of matching up the colours/sizes (should get you pretty close anyway)

oh hold up are you putting a silvertop loom in aren't you? if so you are $&#$% as with ae101, body loom wires are all routed differently. might be easier to alter your old 4afe loom.

turn it on and see what you haven't got. that will be what is in those 2 plugs.
if you are worried about damaging anything just don't plug the ecu in and it will be fine.

it should be a case of just matching up the majority of the wires which should be similar colour or size. amongst those wires there should be all you wires for dash lights as well which you will need to trace.

weren't you going from a auto to a manual? if that's the case then you could almost disregard one of those plugs already.

yes it's going to manual but the plug i have to cut it off and plug my old 4afe plug back on.
that means i have to do mods for it and make sure they work alright.

Me thinks you might need someone whos handy with a multi meter.

It's not a huge job its just that there is 100 ways to get it wrong and then you have the fun job of fault finding it.
those plugs are for (If memory serves) 12v for vvt, 12v for oxygen,12v for coil,12v for ignitor,12v for icsv , temp gauge,oil,A/C,instrument earths, also think there is a crank signal in there for the ecu or even the starter motor its self. One thing that caught me the last 2 times is that most of those 12v I mentioned are seperate wires. eg. coil has its own wire to the ignitor and vvt pulley.
"You can't do it like that!." "Why not?"
