Postby 123456789 » Sat Aug 21, 2010 12:26 am

Hey my mate has an AE86 levin gtv in black and white hes considering selling. Its a very well looked after un-molested model with less than 90,000 on the clock. Just wondered if any of you could give a price estimate. I know this is hard to do without pictures but a rough idea would be good :D

being an ae86 it should go for least 8k. if he wants to make money try 12k if it was me personally i would put it on for 9-9.5k.

A friend of my sold his a couple years ago (Genuine AE86, 150,000kms)

Was full trd wide body with a nicely molded ducktale like wing (looked vert cool)

He had spent around 10k on panel and paint, deepdish old school rims, was running the smallport 16v with a haltech ecu and cams etc etc. Nice sounds, totally mint interior.

God it was sex on wheels...

All he got was 8k.

You see plenty for 15K+..... I dont think anyone gets that tho

I love this.

I've also noticed that cars like this are staying on trademe for months, even with considerable price drops! Not just with old Corollas/AE86s either.. RX7s, turbo silvias/180sx and R32/33 skylines are dropping back to the kind of prices I paid for them nearly 10 years ago. Its' great that they're more affordable, too bad that driving them makes you look like bogan trash.

buyers market says $1 reserve it and see what happens,

Yeah your right... I'm in the market for an evo1 or 2 but I want a full factory one. Wheels and exhaust perhaps... but most of them have buckies, external wastie etc...
I think if it's in original condition it's got to be worth more.

I'm not too sure that km's play a big part in pricing, one could have 90,000kms of hard use vs one that has had 250,000 of daily driving (thats only 9600km per year).

In 25+ years things are going to degrade regardless of KM unless they are kept in dry storage.

Here's one that seems to be priced fairly well...

Yeah I have my eye on that one. Rare in that condition however.

I just got 15k for mine too.
It was pretty cool though.
Full race 7age, everything suspension related, facelift and 50km.
8-10k seems reasonable for most of them.
They are 25+ years old.
