$&#$% door hinges, about $300 a pop to replace. Door cards falling to bits. Climate control/dash play up. Control arm bushes are usually flogged out too, and after 300 odd k's most of the bushes would be.
Have a look at http://www.planetsoarer.com or http://www.soarercentral.com should be a fair whack of info there.
FWIW, most of the stuff that craps out isnt too much of a major to fix, if the price is right it'd be worth buying

iv also seen on a couple of 1uz soarers with high mileage the crank thrust bearings wear out and they get mean crank-walk

I was going to go look at that one yesterday.

Along with what has been mentioned I would check that the a/c works. In summer the dark coloured Soarers get really hot inside...and I've found some people on trademe who class the fact that the fan works as the car having working a/c.

Superpro have all the bushes you need, buy everything and replace it.
Pray the ball joints are still ok, i'm not sure if anyone rebuilds them but it would be easier to get arms from a lower k soarer.
It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact

Was told that jza80 arms bolt up?

Yep first thing I noticed after driving the soarer around town/with a heavy pedal is the amount of gas it uses.

Got 350kms out of $100 the other week

theres at least one place in auckland that rebuilds balljoints (bricon engineering) though i cant really speak to their longevity.

costs around ~$150 ea i think

The arms definitely do, same design but different style of bushes. JZA80 arms have near solid bushes and I found NVH increased noticeably afterwards on my Z30.

Both Z30 and A80 arms available ~320 each new but Z30 ones aren't stocked in NZ.

I had figured with the amount of receipts claimed for that car the PS pump would have been done.
