Hamilton had overtaken him, was on the racing line. That's all there is too it. Don't get me wrong I'm not a Ham fan, much prefer Ferrari but still think Webber was fully at fault.

Webber was commited to his line and Hamilton was going around the outside. There was no where webber could have gone to avoid the accident. It's not like he could just brake harder and pull up sooner, racecars just don't work like that. Mind you this is comming from someone with zero racing experence. I also would have thought in that situation the front suspension of webbers car would have been alot more likely to break than hamiltons rear.

I was guttered that webber didn't take both of them out! I too was very surprised the front of his car stayed together like it did.

Should be a good end to the season if all 5 contenders can keep getting points. Here's hoping some knob-end like Jarno doesn't give up a position in the 2nd-to-last corner handing the championship to some filthy brown cyborg.

Mate is this really that bigger surprise I mentioned this earlier in this thread that Alonso was always going to be the No.1 at Ferrari contrary to all the sidfeline stuff and team orders wheather teams say it or not there is always a No.1 driver at most teams ie Hamilton at Mclaren Vettel at RBR and so forth.

I can't help but feel that there is going to be a empty seat soon at Ferrari, massa isn't interested in being teh whipping boy and think he may leave at the end of the season.

I don't think Massa will leave personally I think he's a perfect foil for Alonso its always been clear to me that he's been a no.2 basically his whole career at Ferrari bar 08.He's a perfect no.2 has the speed on his day but unfortunately for him he came in behind Schumacher then got Raikkonen and now Alonso so I'm thinking Ferrari won't be letting him go anywhere.

You got to love how Alonso is driving at the moment Ferrari have upped there game and he is able to push the RBR cars.I don't no what the story is with the Red Bulls but I think pressure is getting to these guys.I like in that last piece where Vettel blew up how Alonso was just subtely applying pressure,putting in consistently quick laps and making Vettel respond and then pop went the Red Bull.

I got two words Pressure,Experience..

The Webber incident looked like to me Webber cracked under the pressure.I see the conspiracy theories but I think Webber may have cracked.

He isn't saying that he had his initial crash on purpose, but he thinks that when he rolled back accross the track (definitely looked like he wasn't braking/brakes not working) that he did this deliberately to try to take out one of the other title contenders.

I was wondering at the time why he didn't brake to stop himself rolling back accross the track, as the initial impact didn't seem bad enough to stop the brakes working.

People are anti Alonso but for sure now Ferrari have given him a car to fight with Mclaren and the Red Bulls he has dug in and I agree as of the last 4-5 races he does look odds on to take the title as his driving has come up a notch also.
