Nothing smart about not buying lotto tickets, people blow more on a single beer on a night out  It's just a choice people make on what they want to blow their money on 8)

At my school 45% was less than 55% anyway

 Does anyone actually know someone that has won big? My mum is convinced that the whole lottery thing is a conspiracy (she's convinced most things are conspiracies)

I'm sure they did a TV show a while ago with lotto winners and one of them had bought some description of S15 and spent loads on it...

My father calls it 'poor tax'.

I buy online so it only costs me $2.50 per week for 4 favourite lines.
I purchase 4 lines x 10 weeks.

Someone at my girlfriends work won 500k when they were younger. They have nothing to show for it.

I love scratchies, I usually win enough to buy some lunch or a bottle of wine :)

Started playing online lotto when there is a big prize up for grabs.

Although I was suprised to see how much the tickets have gone up coz of "GST". Used to spend $16 on a super power dip, it's now $18... thats almost a 13% increase :(

So much for GST going up by 2.5% lol

They held the price for normal lotto and rounded up costs for powerball to 60c a line from 50c, they have boosted the powerball prize as well though to balance up the difference.

Know a person that won 3 or 4 million and now happily retired at 40 something. But he's been real smart with the winnings and not blown it all (wonder how long it would take someone to spend 3million?)

I know two people who have won first divison.
One of them is a couple, close mates of mine. They unfortunately won it when there were multiple winners and th epolicy at the time was they spun a wheel or somehting and one of the winners got 1 mil, and the others got 250k. They didn't get the mil...

$ is better spent on lotto than beer!
