in that case yep, just split the rca and run to each amp, you just wont have very good control with the headunit, but having no rcas you wouldnt have had to start with.

otherwise you could get two line level converters and run front speakers off the front speaker cables and the sub off the rears, that way you can tune it a bit with the fader control on the headunit

each speaker runs off a channel, a one channel amp or mono amp in its most basic configuration will run a sub, a two channel amp will run a left and a right speaker, so you have a left channel and a right channel. With a four channel amp you have a front left, front right, rear left and rear right channel.

Hope this makes sense?

that would be a two channel amp

12volt direct current, as used in a car travels from positive to negative, so it runs from the + terminal of the amp, to the + terminal of the speaker, through the speaker's coil to the - terminal of the speaker, back to the - terminal of the amp.

What brand and model are your sub and amp? Most amps are bridgeable, which lets you run from the positive of the left amp channel to the sub and then to the negative of the right amp channel "bridging" the amp, this will give you more power into the sub.

in theory you could run two subs off it, but I would guess that that amp wouldnt be putting out a huge amount of power, you are much better off running one sub with enough power than two subs underpowered

tip, buy a new headunit with sub control etc, theyre cheap as nowadays, get a d-class (1 channel) amp, you can run 2 subs off a decent amp

and just run ya speakers off that 2channel amp uve got, just bridge the 2 fronts together and rears together
The four seasons in Australia consist of "$&#$% it's hot", "Can you believe how $&#$% hot it is?", "I won't be in today because it is too $&#$% hot" and "Yes, the dinner plate size spiders come inside to escape from the heat."
