Getting some car seats courierd?

Postby sik_gt_starly » Thu Oct 07, 2010 3:58 pm

Im selling my STI bucket seats for my starlet on trademe, when it comes to getting them freighted can anyone recomend a company to use?

Im having trouble finding someone that will even take the 2 front seats because of their size/weight, let alone someone that wont charge a small fortune.

Will need to go from Whakatane, destination unknown atm, but will use Wellington as an example

Also how would i go about packaging them up?

Cheers

I normally say in my auctions for things like that "Willing to ship but buyer MUST arrange".
Then I put up the weight and dimentions of the items and then tell them to find their own quote. That takes the onus off you.

Mainfreight depot to depot of big items. Make up a crate or something and stack the seats inside each other with the crate for protection. Will be spendy as no matter which way ya do it though I imagine.

A furniture removalist could be a goer infact ring

talk to Mike or Steve and say Matt said to give them a ring and if they could do a good deal for you. I'll let them know you're going to ring if you would like?

Or you can email mike.efficient@xtra.co.nz

If you knew where they were going I could give you an idea of price

Don't bother with us eh  we won't take those.
Fastways MIGHT take them, they use Tui Party Hire opposite Mitre 10 as their agent, try them.

Castle Parcel? Part of Post Haste iirc. We use them as the small item courier at work.

I had some seats sent up from Palmy by Mark, will have to dig out the receipt to see who it was couriered by
