How much would you pay?

Postby CelicaGT8 » Tue Oct 12, 2010 4:34 pm

Thinking of selling my st151 Corona seda, it has a 3sgte, blows no smoke, low km manual, and the body is tidy. However it does not have a cert, wof, reg...

How much do you think its worth on trademe?

Pretty much just what the engine is worth in that state.

Not being road legal is your biggest problem, undesirable car etc.. some young person might pay a couple of grand for it if you're lucky.

Exactly. Cert WOF and reg will make it much more appealing. The shell itself is worth 3/8ths of bugger all.

I think the only other problem besides the cert, wof and reg issue is the desire for this kind of car, regardless of the engine. Its not the most desirable and that is where I think you would run into problems trying to sell it to be honest. I would nearly go as far as say you would get more selling the engine by itself.

Yea, but its not really worth spending $500 on it for a cert then wof and reg costs... i mean its may not pay off...

Which is $11 more than I'd offer.
