Yeah but Alonso can drive but do agree i also thinks he a Wank as well

But Webber would only be winning it becasue he happened to be in the best car at the right time, not really deserving IMO

Plus I would have to listen to Austrilians telling me that there diver is the best in the world for an entire year

LOL, this is the exact reason I dont want Webber to win either.

Im actually considering backing him on teh TAB to win the championship, that way if he wins I'll be happy, but if he loses, I'll still be happy and only be down 50 bucks.

haha Alonso is literally where my money is sitting  (has been since before the season started)
Even if Alonso is a wanker he is still the most complete package in the field imo.
I'm loving the season for couch spectating... it is all over the show with regards to who could win!
Vettel might be consistently fast but his race-craft is average as (never see him in battles / overtaking etc)

I'll say it also the new teams are a joke.

You'd think if they wanted to be serious about it someone would have stumped up the money and bought Toyota's race car for this year surely at least they would be alot quicker than some of these embarrassing teams ie 7 sec.s a lap slower in Qualifying please I'm with Bernie on this it truely is embarrassing.

No doubt about it, Colin Chapman is probably rolling in his grave, but to hear something like this come from the money hungry Bernie, its quite a shock :P

Have to start somewhere, Toyota poured billions into F1 and only have a few second places to show for it and have now totally puilled out

Honda were pretty much the same except for JBs win in Hungary in 2006

Next year both Virgin and Lotus will be signficantly quciker and I doubt that the 107% rule will effect them, HRT will most likely be gone burger

The reason Bernie has so much hate towards Virgin is becasue Richard Branson has manged to enetr F1 with minimal out lay and this is making Bernie jealous

Next season will be the true test of the new team, as they now have a seasons worth of data, in Lotus case they are moving to a proven engine and driveline combination so reuslts should improve

Reason no one brought Toyota car was becasue they wanted way to much for it

When you think these are first real new teams since Toyota who spent a whole season testing before joining the sport I personally think they have done a pretty good job

Way to much is there such a thing in F-1.

According to all the test numbers the TF-110 would have performed favourably against the top teams this year and surely even given the cost by one of those new teams using this car would be alot further down the track than what they are now.

Those new teams are going to have to pray those teams ie Ferrari RBR Renault Mclaren Williams and alike don't make any major steps foward because if they do I see another year like this year ahead for Virgin Lotus and Hispania.

Exactly if these three teams step up their game to be equal to the top runners this year, what happens when the top runners this year step up their game to their next level! HRT might be able to scrape through a 6 second difference as opposed to a 7...

Woulda shoulda coulda, end of the day Toyota shut up shop, so we will never know how great the TF110 was going to be, numbers are just numbers until they are proven by on track results

I think next year both Lotus and Virgin will be equal or better than Torro Rosso from the start of the season, you have to start somewhere, with a full seasons knowledge within both of these teams now and a fulll season to work on and design there 2011 cars they will be fine, you have to rember that Lotus only got the go ahead in October and they had a car ready in January for testing, so with a full years run in and a year worth of data and expernce I expect both of these teams to be on par with the lower end of the mid feild next year

As for HRT they will fold or be brought out, I have no problems with abuse being dealt out in there direction

But thats it I'll guarantee that TF-110 would have been better than anything Hispania Lotus or Virgin have put out on the track this year and if they had spent the money who know's they could have already been in the middle of the pack now this is my point why start at the very bottom use all the R&D put into the TF-110 and use that as your starting point whose to say Lotus or Virgin are going to catch Torro Rosso next year they could go backwards.

But the problem with buy the TF110 was that they were always going to relant on Toyota for the devlopment of the car, as they had not designed it them selves they would not understand the piliosphy that it was devloped with. The throught out the season if theyw anted to do devlopment to the car they would have to pay Toyota as Toyota were jsut selling the cars as a package with support they were not selling the IP.

Hence it was better for these teams to take the intal hit to spend a season learning and gaining data

HRT did the buy a car option and look where that has got them, even if HRT had brought the TF110 they may have been in front for a while but when they couldn't pay Toyota the money Toyota would have wanted for devlopment the car would have started to fall back rather quickly.

I highly doubt that Lotus or Virgin will drop back next year, I will be suprised with HRT are about

I would expect Lotus to jump a few places.
Proven competitive drive train, proven team members and design staff.
Money.
They will get top ten finishes next season is my bet

Top ten finishes are a big call when you have 5 big teams with big budgets there, and Lotus needing to find a couple of seconds per lap to realistically get there, considering all the other teams are still going to be moving forwards as well. They may fluke a couple of them, when its wet or carnage takes out half the cars, but to be top ten on pace I dont think is realistic just yet.
