Red Mk1 MR2 stolen in Dunedin (T-top, facelift)

Postby Baxter » Sun Nov 14, 2010 4:15 pm

Red AW11 (ie mark 1 MR2), T-top, facelift (ie with factory spoilers and skirts), and "Handling by Lotus" badges.
Reg SX8758, VIN: 7A8H60K0794112560, Chassis: AW11-0112560

Non-runner (though could be easily made to run), so probably towed/trailered some time in the last month from a lock-up in the Dunedin North area (near the Regent 24 dairy).

Ring police (reference is '6937401') or call me on 021-1146-753.

Edit: here's a crappy picky off GoogleMaps:

If per chance the thief is reading this, please pop it back in the lock-up this and week and no questions will be asked. And it'd also be awesome if you didn't crank the engine over it has a mystery knock.

Cheers greatly to 84vvt for popping this up on www.mr2.org.nz; as my account their appears to have vanished it'd be great if someone could add the image as well.

Aye, and as its was in storage I'm pretty sure it wasn't insured.
I've own it for a couple of years, but the rebuilt 4AGE died after a few moths - before I even had a chance to thrash it in an autocross. It was a good rust free one I was looking forward to getting going for summer. :(

Cheers greatly all.

One more thing it has an ugly log of a rear muffler that looks probably home made, sprayed in light grey paint.

On, and an old-school Sportline steering wheel, and plain-ish Razoo gear knob.
