I've been looking at getting some better wheels for my car, and it seems to get anything decent at a decent price I'm much better off going to 5x114. Im not here to debate the logic of the conversion, just gather information.
I'm lead to believe that the rear is pretty simple using 93 onwards camry bits. But if i head down the same route with the front the camry's supposedly use monster CV's that are bigger than 4agze ones?
I've looked at redrilling the flanges but there doesnt seem to be enough meat to move the stud pattern out the extra 7 mm all round.
5x100 sounds like its a piece of piss, but leaves me in much the same situation as 4x100.
My current rims are 17x9 at 15p, looking to get something similar under there maybe around 17x8.5, the only decent option I have found is XD9's.
Is there anyone who has any helpful info??

hahaha, dont want to use adapters, you lose the concave of the wheel because of having to run a higher offset to fit the adapter in there,

i'm not sure how similar they are, but someone in the US did a 5x114.3 conversion on an aw11 using Rav4 bits and apparently at least one end was a straight swap. If you're a member on mr2oc.com then have a look in the AW11 section for details

and does anyone know if the ae101 and ae92 are similar enough that i can mock it up on my ae92??

v6 camry's have the big cv's. sv30/cv30 camrys have the same spline, but are 5x114.3

is it an SXV10 chassis code? if so i'm not sure, i've only ever have vcv10's (same shape but with 3vzfe) to compare them to.

I think Wayne machined the flange off the hubs from the AW11 and pressed/welded some 5 stud flanges onto them. I could be wrong though, was a while ago.
I'd quite like to do this myself on the aw11 but having bought a new set of brake discs recently, I really don't feel like making them obsolete and having to buy more. Keep us posted on what you find out with the Camry hubs.
