That was the most dissapointing race ive ever seen. $&#$% renault and $&#$% petrov!

Somewhat poetic justice that Renault should be the ones to deny Alonso another undeserved championship :twisted:

Webber pitted early as his tyres were screwed, Ferrari then pitted Massa first to try and get him ahead which failed, so they then pulled in Alonso to cover Webbers stop and stay ahead. Then becasue Rosberg and Petrov had pitted under the first saftety car and switched tyres, they were going all the way to the end, so Alonso needed to pass them both to get up to 4th to win, but Alonso was full of fail today :lol:

Well done to Vettel, rather him than Webber win it, but would have preferred Hamilton personally!

Good result and good outcome in my opinion

Just goes to show how much of a wank@r Alonso is, during the warm down lap pulling up beside Petrov and giving him a serve...what a to$$er!

What does he expect when racing for position everyone is going to get out of his way...pfffff

He should have used his enormous talent and just passed him like his team were asking of him, but end of the day Alonso didn't have the abilty to put himself in the postion to win

So happpy Webber didn't win it

Yeah, who would want a young up and coming awesomely talented from the outset (a bit raw and ambitious on ocassions I admit) driver to win the championship. :roll:

Would have been happy enough if Alonso had won, he just didn't deserve it in the end - ferrari learnt a lesson for being too defensive in their strategy as well I guess. Webber didn't deserve it either.

Renault's f-duct was doing the business making them un-passable in the race - full credit to them for not letting any one past - why should they? Anyone who says they should have is letting their emotions rather than their logic do the talking. Bit of a pity Alonso was a dick about it at the end too, I am sure once he has calmed down he will agree that they shouldn't have let him past, we all know he wouldn't have.

Frustration I think and agreed Ferrari made a bad call and it cost Alonso in the end.Mind you Ferrari never had the best car all year and they pushed RBR all the way but again 2nd,all that means is your the best loser.

Renault also probably culled Hamilton's chance's of a race victory aswell but I guess in the end thats racing.

Ferrari made the only call possible in the situation, they had to cover the closest rival for the title, which happened to be Webber. If they hadn't done that and Webber got better track position they would lose.

They had far more options against Vettel and could afford to cover him more loosely than Webber. As it worked out they got stuck behind a slower car that had already pitted and lost more places than they expected to.

These tactics are forced on the teams because the FIA removed refuelling stops from the team strategy decisions With them it would have been a totally different race/season.

Hindsights a great thing.

It doesn't much matter now and as proven it was the wrong call Ferrari made.We will never no what could have happend as Button Vettel and a few others stayed out on graining tyres and there cars came back to them so samething may well have happend to Alonso but as above we'll never know.

I was happy with the result. Would have been happy to see Mark Webber win aswell. Although I don't think he is the quickest driver. He was clearly nervous in the last 2 racers.

Alonso is dirty. He made some good comments front the pen after the race though(ie not coming off as a complete bad sport).

Good on Jenson for getting back on the podium.

I heard this mentioned in passing, but I wasn't sure whether it was true that not one single race during 2010 was won by the man leading the WDC... I decided to take a look at the results:

2: Australia. Alonso, Vettel is better than you, can you confirm you understand, leads by 7 points. The first leader of the WDC looks like he's going to have a pretty smooth season. The bookies instantly install him as the favourite to win the Championship. He finishes 4th.

3: Malaysia. Alonso, Vettel is better than you, can you confirm you understand, leads by 4 points. His Ferrari engine goes kaput. He'll get two podiums from the next seven races.

4: China. Massa leads by two points. Some people question the new points system when they see his name at the top. They don't have to worry, he finishes 9th and won't be on the podium again until Germany. By then, even his own team will have given up on him.

5: Spain. Button leads by 10 points from Rosberg. He's just had his second win of the season, things are looking pretty good from here, right? No. That'll be his last win of the season. He comes 5th.

6: Monaco. Button's lead has been reduced to 3 points. McLaren leave a bung in his engine, leading to a rather bizarre retirement. This is followed by three podiums in a row, but each one sees him finish behind his team mate.

7: Turkey. Webber and Vettel are each on 78 points. Webber leads the WDC on countback for the first time in his life, having scored as many wins in a week as he had managed in his 8 year career. Red Bull suffer their darkest moment of the year as their two cars crash into one another.

8: Canada. Webber leads by 5 points following his crash with Vettel. He comes 5th and will retire from the next race.

9: Europe. Hamilton leads by 3 points from Button following two wins in a row. Finally the pre-season favourite is back. Can he make it a hat trick? No. He comes 2nd.

10: Great Britain. Hamilton leads by 6 points. Another 2nd place, though his home fans are pretty happy with this as most of them like seeing Webber win.

11: Germany. Hamilton leads by 12 points. The biggest points margin of the season, so far! Hamilton finishes 4th.

12: Hungary. Hamilton leads by 14 points. That was almost turning into a good run by the WDC leader! This must be stopped. Hamilton suffers from one of the only mechanical DNFs of his career.

13: Belgium. Webber leads by 4 points. He gets pole, but the race victory goes to Hamilton, who has finally finished his run of four races at the top of the WDC standing.

14: Italy. Hamilton leads by 3 points. He retires. He'll retire from the next race, too.

15: Singapore. Webber leads by 5 points. He finishes third.

16: Japan. Webber leads by 11 points. He loses out to his teammate.

17: South Korea. Webber leads by 14 points. He rather stunningly crashes out once the safety car goes into the pits and takes Nico Rosberg out with him!

18: Brazil. Alonso, Vettel is better than you, can you confirm you understand, leads by 11 points having won four races since we last saw him. He makes it a fifth podium in a row, but he can't capture that win!

19: Abu Dhabi. Alonso, Vettel is better than you, can you confirm you understand, leads by 8 points. At the final hurdle, he can't do it. The WDC is won by Sebastian Vettel, who hasn't led the WDC at any point this season. In fact, he's never led the WDC in his life, until now.

Somehow, I'm guessing that Vettel won't win the first race of 2011...

Thats pretty amazing!
Unreal that the only day Vettal leads the points in his F1 career is the day the season ends :lol: Although I did read somewhere that he did lead more laps this year than anyone else.

I never said he didn't deserve it, I just don't like him... personal preference.
He could have cleaned that championship up miles earlier if not for the car failures.

But while we are here, although he is a massively fast (and consistent at that) driver I've still yet to see him have some awesome battles / mass-passing in races.
Will be good to see what happens when he has a slower car (if that ever happens! that redbull guys sure know how to make a fast car)

Vettel was pretty good in the Torro Rosso.He was ahead when it mattered he's the champ we can't take that away from him.

It's clear he dominates the scene. So many podiums it's not funny, and any time he is out in front he always pulls out a lead. So many safety cars where he gets back ahead again in no time.

Sure he's not the best overtaker, but it's hard to have that kind of experience at his age!

Haters can hate, but the man who deserved to, won (for a change).
