Accord Euro Rs....any good?

Been thinking about these for a while, and I'm not usually a Honda person but there is something interesting about then to me.

Anyone had any experience with them? I have had a friend that owned one but only for a short period of time (nothing to do with the car, hes a bit ADHD eg a car a month). Interiors look really comfortable and power doesnt look too bad at all.

Any thoughts?

I really like them, although the older shape is a little boxy looking.

They handle well & they're reasonably quick. The seats aren't as hard as the look (I found them quite soft actually).

My mate had his clutch let go at 65,000kms which suprised me (older shape). I guess you never how how it's driven in Japan but the pedals didn't seem to have any excessive wear.

yup thinking its something good, but not your average skyline, gtir, etc etc that put out around the same power. Plus proof that it doesnt have to have a snail strapped to it to be a weapon. I've heard they handle great and are good fun. Definately look the part to me.

Only issue I have heard is that the rev limit at 7500rpm seems like it may be holding back a little bit. Apparently they seem like they have more to go but hey, who wants to break things

I think they look nice, handle great and for their size have a bit of get up and go, wouldnt call them quick though.

Interior is sweet and comfy as hell. Pretty economical as well

CL7? Very nice, and (contrary to above post) are pretty quick for what they are. Handle alright, slightly lower makes them nicer in that respect as you'd expect.

And now that I've read your post entirely I notice you're looking at CL1s. Save up, buy the newer one

I do like there shape and NA hondas are awsome to drive.

Kept up with one in my old carina with a 3Tgte, stock standard with vacuum blocked off and running around a bar of boost.

Does anyone know where my old carina is? LOL

It's a 2.2L motor though - so you'd expect there to be plenty of torque on offer.

They've held their price well IMO too.

CL1's can develop gearbox issues. Aside from that they're good cars. If you can afford to - get the CL7, better car in just about every way.

i think the CL7s have a K series, but CL1 is H22A

CL1 Euro R = H22AR (not to be confused with a Prelude engine - this one is much better)
CL7 Euro R = K20A

F series is in the lower spec Torneo/Accords (Sir-t etc)

i would prefer the older CL1 to the newer CL7. my flatmate has a CL7 euro and its quite average. granted it is a tiptronic box but it doesn't feel that fast and its seats aren't overly comfy. driving position feels a bit weird.

but on the plus side they look awesome and have a pretty good sound system from factory IMO
