Hey, I did have your number but not anymore I dont think.

Txt me before the weekend and I'll save the number,
and I'll let you know what time I'll be in town.

Will also be in town on friday, but only for enough time to stop for lunch and find some accomodation for Sunday night.

Matt

meet at ice skating carpark at 1pm (any ideas of where a good spot for a photo shoot would be grate thanks)

We should actually go for a drive this time. I vote on the route I used for my BBQ cruise a couple of years ago. Go north out of town over the NEV hills route to Waitati then on to Warrington for pics, then back over the Port Chalmers hill and then through sawyers bay and up upper junction rd and back down nev hill rd. Total drivers roads! Nice scenery too

We could stop off at the quarry for a wee "look" .....
zing! Sig got nuked. Sorry bout that.

Thanks for the offer,
but with 3 of us + a 6 month old baby we are probably better in a motel.
Think we have one sorted, just going to call in 2 check it out on the way through.

Hey Matt. See some random beep at you when you'd just parked up on John Wilson Drive at lunchtime today (Friday)? Red Skyline coupe.
<<<<<< ;)

Saw your race car being towed by a 4WD , so was hoping you'd be in the truck too.

Is that the road by the Beach? If so then yes, lol.

I would have been in the truck or not far away.
has stopped there for a break on the way.

hmmm - just had a thought - its a sunday so id better leave a tiny bit eariler as the back coach road from mataura to clinton gets nothing but old people towing 2 tonne horse floats in a Holden barina and its not the best stretch of road for passing D:

i could just go through gore and take the long way but that way is riddled with cops and even more horse people!

What's the time difference in those two roads?
We have done both and found bugger all difference,

But yes it seems that everyone takes their hose for a sunday drive.
But have never seen a cop on either of them?

both are about the same time to complete providing you arent naughty - but the back road is THAT much more fun to drive

ive seen maybe 1 or 2 cops on the back road in the last 15 times ive driven it - but the main way through gore ive seen cops much more frequently - but thats just my perspective

as for the supra being fast - yeah i quite like passing dawdlers as i can usually open it up for some fun but the back road is a pain in the arse - mostly short and blind straights with passing lanes few and far between - sure there are slow idiot lanes but no one ever uses them because no one thinks themselves to be slow so you see people using that lane to pass the idiots lol - not terribly legal and all but i can see why people do it

righty then

supra should be in good form for the trip up tomorrow
Air con fixed
Hydraulic Cooling fan hoses replaced
New bonnet struts that work real good after some use now
Siliconed up the Intercooler rubber piping as its getting a bit old and needs replacing but this will do for now

and fresh oil and coolant - sorted :D

might be bringing a mate of mine with me and LoudStealth as well - hes sporting a AW11 SC but isint on the forums so a trio of Boosted Toyota's should be making the trip From Invercargill :D

Umm?

What happenned to this thread?
Heaps of the posts are missing? Like the whole 3rd page?

Anyway I was pretty bummed when I heard I missed this cruise and Matt's car!
I was working very hard on getting my car certed which has now successfully completed! Now for the WOF! groan!

Anyway we should do that Mt Cargill run every couple of months. Next time probably late Jan or Feb for when the students are back. I might even host a BBQ again!

yeah the site had some problems explained in another thread - had to revive from an old backup

was a good trip even if i had to leave my dead car parked up some backstreet in dunners and grab a ride with someone else - i will bring a fully functioning car to the next one i assure you!

So my car was a complete write off (insert comment about moron drivers here), quote for repair work was just shy of 5 grand.

Car should be at the next turners damaged car auction if anyone is looking for a cheap silvertop for parts, everything forward of the rear wheels is in good nick.

Now the fun of deciding what to buy as a replacement car in the BOP begins.
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983
