GTT Calinda Exaust Leak

Post by spoonza6 »

Hey Guys,

I got an exaust leak on my 99 st215 gtt caldina, sounds like its coming from where the manifold bolts to the head so was thinking maybe i need a new gasket but i remember replacing it with a new genuine one just 12 months ago when i replaced the engine and havent done more than 15,000km on it.

My question is, do the factory manifolds on these ever warp? was thinking i might need to get it machined or something.

Yeah, the manifolds on the pre-facelifts are missing a bolt on the end of the flange, so they warp then leak from there. Pretty common fault, ive seen heaps with the same problem. Their inherently fail, so your better off finding a facelift manifold or a ST205 one than trying to fix it.
