cam regrind

Has anyone had this done? just wondering how much of a difference it makes to a stockish car
EX:89 RS and GT Legacys, 90 EF9 Civic, 95 Integra R, 95 AE101, 90 ST185, 88 Accord, 87 3rdoor and 5door Swift hatch, 91 Pontiac Lemans, 80 Liftback Celica, 95 Hornet 250

Depends on the grind, stock car I wouldnt bother. At a minimum you really want to bump compression up. Need to do intake and exhaust as well.

Kelford CHCH was able "regrind" my factory BPT cams for fair price.
had full boost almost 1g earlier so was stoked
Current:77 MK2 Ford Escort L 1.3L
75 MK2 Ford Escort L 2.1L

Had: 2X Early Subaru Leggys GT Wags, 1X Subaru RS, 1X 2004 Subaru B4, 2x BFMP Turbo Sedan Famil's, 2x BFMR Turbo Sedan Famil's, AE92 FX-GT, 97 Holden Calais 3.8L
Supercharged 12psi ,Escort, BZ-R
Various Others

G13B DOHC ? You can get away with a surprising amount of duration and lift with the G13B. Be prepared to work the engine even harder than you do now, and don't expect much torque from the engine.
Quad throttle bodies, bump in compression, by far the best 1300cc race engine.
A regrind? You'll have to talk to a cam manufacturer. I suspect you'll have all sorts of valve train geometry issues.

I've had 4 motors that I've fitted reground cams to.

Mk 3 Zephyr, straight 6, triple SUs & exhaust. The cam made a huge difference.

Ford 272 Y block V8, headers, holley, likewise a huge difference.

Ford 351C with rajay turbo and Holley 750, so much difference that the fuel pump couldn't keep up anymore.

Mitsi GTO 6G72,quadcam. A total disaster due to the cam grinder fecking the job up then the installer fecking it up then getting lied to , then fixing it myself.
As for geometry problems, as with any cam, increasing the lift and duration will make the geometry non standard. It won't stop it from working though.
If you're starting with a fairly good cam then the differences won't be as noticable. Maybe not even worth the expense. I wouldn't waste the money doing another Mitsi.

Steve, every engine you have listed has lifters. To a certain degree you can adjust out most geometry issues. I don't know about reducing the base circle on a DOHC engine. The forced geometry issues might mean having a shim or bucket pickup.
Saying the above, I've only ever installed new billets in my DOHC engines.
Was recommended regrinds as a cheap option for my 6a10.

i dont think mine is a g13.... its just a normal swift 1.3 ltr

its a G13A 1324cc, same bore as a G13B (1298cc) but 1mm more stroke.
the G13B twin cam is the motor redmist is thinking of. the G13B comes in both SOHC and DOHC, and in SOHC config it comes as 8 valve, 16V CPI and 16V MPI
