Whats it worth...

Postby eskimo » Thu Jan 20, 2011 7:56 pm

Howdy Ive had my AE111 for sale for a wee while now and only had a few bites and lots of muppet's from trademe

http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=81753

Ive had offer's from 6k to 6.5k, id really like 7k for it but this may be a tad optimistic. What do you guys think its worth?

Cheers

If what you want and what you're getting offered is $500 difference, and you want it gone, Take it

Market is saying 6-6.5k by the sounds of it, it's only worth what someone will pay. So if you want it sold any time soon 6.5 is pretty close to what you want.

No reason why you can't hold out for 7, but you may never get it, just have to work out how long you want to have it on the market. Is it worth holding out for that extra $$ or better than have the money in your pocket?

my 2c.

Not enough of them around to have a good idea of pricing. 7k buys a lot of car these days though.

Yeah unfortunately it's probably a waiting game to get the $$ you want. Could be worse, I remember when i brought mine there was one on TradeMe for ages which was stock other than a Tom's grile (bastard) and 15" TE37's. Was on a car yard and they wanted 15k for it! 8O

Yea this where im kinda heading, i'm not going to get what I want unless I wait & wait & wait... even then i'm not guarantied to get it so may let it go for what the market says.

There is a TS member keen on it & would rather it go to them than the drop kicks that have looked it thus far.

At the end of the day it is a 14 year old Corolla with 167,000kms on the clock, though being a performance version definitely helps with its value. I would have thought $6-6.5k would have been spot on with its value. I would take the $6.5k offer to be honest.
