My 200sx was stolen from the Westpac Stadium Wellington today (Fri 21/01) between 8:20am and 4:30pm.

Can you please keep an eye out for it and call the police if you see it.

Thanks, unfortunately they don't have surveillance at the Stadium.

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

Yeah 5 start with 3 immobilizers, steering wheel was turned to lock position, stereo faceplate removed and nothing visible left in the car but a bloody beach towel.

Realised later that we'd left a brand new food processor in the boot too.

Yea, this seems to happen a lot lately...
I take it you've checked with towies?

Fingers crossed for you!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Checked with tow company first then stadium itself then police checked if it had been towed when I filled out the forms.

No word on it yet

this isn't the first time a car has been stolen from the stadium seriously they need a kick in the ass, inside job highly likely. Go sit out in the carpark one day and see if you can see any staff doing anything beyond their dutys.

but who can take an entire car without getting inside it (no breaking glass/ mucking about outside the car), load an entire car onto a truck without looking suspicious....

Perhaps someone with a towtruck and uniform..... just a thought.

yup, i have always thought this, if someone sees a car being towed away no-one bats an eyelid, the perfect crime for a dodgy tow truck driver

This is what I think might have happened, If it was that well alarmed / imobilized.

Because really, would any of us challenge a legit looking tow truck and it's driver if you saw it towing that Silvia or any car at the stadium carpark?

And it's not just the perfect crime for a dodgey tower, car thrives will buy a tow truck from turners or trademe to take advantage of this

Correct. was suggesting with an appropriate paintjob and uniform (maybe a clipboard and electronic device to fiddle with abit) would top the idea....

yep its all abit too possible..

There must be some camera footage somewhere. There's only 2 ways out of that car park for a decent stretch of road in either direction... and cameras are everywhere now.

It wouldnt have been a tow truck, these guys are so good it takes seconds to get into the car, minutes to get it going. Pop the bonnet, rip out the siren and put it in the boot of their car, find the alarm box which is always in the common places, join two wires together, brake the steering lock, hit the motorway out to the Hutt. Done.

Cars get stolen from there everyday, you are silly to park a car like that in a parking building, I got told once that your car will get stolen when you are not looking after it, so I be careful where I park.

A friends evo 6 got broken into down the road from there 2 weeks ago and the only thing that saved it was that it had two alarm boxes wired in together, one was in the common place and one was hidden up the dash. Very good idea but its over 1g worth of alarms.
