Hey,

Picked up my new ute today a 93 sr5 cab plus but it has horrible prelude front seats in it with some scary looking welds on the rails.

Im looking to replace them with the factory ones and want to know if the hilux surf seats and rails would bolt strait in?

Turns out surf seats do fit... seems to be more of these avalible than the actual ute ones

out of interest did all 4 holes line up ?

I just put some surf seats in my 94 double cab and they did not match up as I would have thought, not sure if this was as mine originally was a bench seat though ?

All the holes matched up except the inside rear hole which was out by about 20mm ish (or missing if this was the seat belt hole ?) , I assumed that maybe 4x4 had bigger gearbox tunnel so was different ? also the front inside hole was there although had no thread (again assumed as a bench has no rail on the side) but was easily fixed by adding a nut to the other side.

I looked at a work mates ute today and he had bolted the recaro's from a surf in and they lined up... he bought them off Trademe and they were advertised as surf seats and rails so unless the seller had it wrong they fit.

I have a 1991 surf which came with a racaro interior , also have a set of normal surf front seats , they can be swapped around when i can afford to get my racaro seats recovered
