Now Im not going to name names right away but heres the story

I ordered a set of gaskets for my engine, The seller was "100% sure" they would fit, I said i would buy them based on that fact, he knew what car it was engine etc etc.

anyway got sent the wrong gaskets, ok I sent them back and asked for the right ones.

got sent a set that looked right....nope didnt fit. :roll:

Sent them back just before christmas

ended up getting a set from toyota, cost me $10 extra and they were good meaty gaskets not cheap chinese rubbish.

So since Christmas and today Have been exchanging emails with him, I have asked for a refund and hes blaming the suppliers, they are blaming me for the goods getting damaged in the post. But I sent them back both times in the same packaging they came in, and even more. So in my eyes if the suppliers are happy sending packages with that protection then it should be fine for me....

long winded story over, What are my options im not sure where to go from here?

weather it is his suppliers fault or not, you are entitled to a refund as the parts are not what you ordered, twice!.

i have the same opinion in regards to the wrapping/packaging. if its good enough for them to send them to you in such a way then its good enough to send them back the same

Have they provided you with proof that the item is damaged? Like some pics or anything?
As its in the same packaging, could just say thats how it was when it got to you.
Regardless though, wrong product, and you've had to pay for shipping twice to send it back.

Prepare documentation to take it to the disputes tribunal. Let them know once out of courtesy and see if they are willing to refund before you do it. Then do it.

It only cost me about $50, +$20 posting back the wrong items, Im happy if i get my $50 back..... I don't care if its not a huge amount they should provide a better service.

It was a bank deposit

Jake will find the money left our account over a fortnight ago befor this post was even made

He was asked provide photo's of the gaskets befor returning them to ensure they were in the same condition they arrived in as gaskets are a product that once damaged can not be resold and also ensure they were being fitted correctly and this wasnt a mistake on Jakes part with fitting.

The gaskets Jake was sent were from a very large manufacturer and supplier and these are the only gaskets I/the supplier have had any issues with.

There are always 2 sides of every story and its never as clear cut as it always seems on face value

Just checked then dude, yip a full refund.

so all good but one thing is pretty lol, why didnt you respond to my email asking where my refund was, like you probably should have just told me the money went into my account, and this thread wouldnt have been made

both I guess, haddnt responded to my emails, so i took that was being ignored, ignored = no refund, I don't check my bank unless I am expecting something

So lesson is, check your facts/account before dragging someones name through the mud. Communication is also key from both sides of the deal.
