Recently bought an 2002 AS200 Altezza with the factory jap sat nav which I have no intention of using, but I do want to upgrade the headunit and what not.
I understand some of them have a factory amp, I don't want to have to dismantle the dash too often, any way of working out if mine will have the factory amp (meaning ill need the special amp by pass cable)?
Also, I take it the speakers in the doors are 6.5's? (Im putting a set of DLS MS6A's in from my levin)
Also, Im guessing the best place to get the aftermarket dash fascia is trademe? can't seem to find anywhere else.
Also Also, I have the master transponder key, is it possible to get a replacement without paying through the ass at toyota?

Open the glovebox, squeeze the sides in so it can flip right out, the amp is in the gap on the left if you have one.
6.5s will fit.
Best place to pick up a dash fascia is from Nick from North Shore Toyota, after joining the Altezza Club

Ok, sweet thanks. The factory headunit is driving me nuts, even with a band expander the lack of ipodness and decent speakers is doing my head in haha.

What do you mean bypass cable?
After you install your new (aftermarket?) it's the same as if you don't have a factory amp. Wire up headunit, run RCAs for new amp.

Yep, just I wanted to use the rear factory speakers as well. Gahhh, hate running cables grrr
