Awesome to see this kid going so well, hopefuly on his way to being the next Kiwi F1 driver, crazy to think he's still only 16, and on his way to Europe after winning the NZ Grand Prix. With Mark Webber his manager and driving teh full series in this years GP3 series, could be the start of something great!

Would love to see a kiwi in F1 doing well!

I am so hoping he has signed with Carlin, becuase if he has he will be team mates with the young Frog who replaced him in the RedBull team will make things very intresting if Brendon gets his shit together and hand it to him

Yeah Hartley has amazing raw speed, but just far too inconsistent and lots of silly mistakes, if he doesnt get his act together this year, I cant ever see him making it to F1 unfortunately, its just far to competetive and high pressure to be able to make mistakes and throw away race wins.

Hope he proves hes up to the task and makes a good show of it and makes up for the dissapointment of getting cut from the Red Bull team, would be fantastic seeing to young kiwis in teh F1 frame, even better if one of them drove for McLaren!!

yeah no matter how good a driver you are you dont have the money you wont get anywhere,

But there is also a lot of spenders that have the big $$ and dont get anywhere either.

Need to have the money and the Talent these day.

And TRS is probably one of the dearest to run.

Yeah it's not at all cheap!
$100k for the chassis was the going rate when it started.

$$ talks, as always. It does suck when you see someone who clearly has the talent fail to scrape up enough.

They are still worth around that. Toyota bought a few back so they would hold their price apparantly.

And some spend more than that on just running them for a season,
hell one team spent more than that in one weekend on repairs.

haha yes the parts are not cheap either. I crew for Giles motorsport who run evans and cassidy from NZ plus two internationals. Is good to see how well mitch is going.
For those who don't know, Mitch's father Owen was one of the lighting direct porche drivers and also the man who has NZs land speed record (on which the third run he lost control at about 370kph and crashed!)

Hartley's landed a drive with what could be a good team, strong ties to Renault/Lotus F1 team.
