Yeh, I was let down also.
Drove an 04 RX8 done 20,000km, 6spd, factory but with some intake(but standard airbox). Slow, fun to corner in but yeah no power.

Then picked up dads rx7 from compliance, with a $&#$% battery(so low spark) and a turbo on the way out, was a shit load more fun

I like my rx8, it's not fast but its fun to drive.
I'll see what my insurance company (state) says about them.

Otherwise I might just use the money to buy a good rifle for rabit shooting, haha.

Don't get me wrong, I would most certainly buy a RX8 for a daily. In that regard, it was fantastic.

The bits I liked:
Super quiet and comfy inside, a very nice cabin. Super gigantic boot, I was like "holy shit" as I expected something tiny due to the rear seats.

The roomy rear seats, you could easily fit 4 people in that car for a day trip or sober driver.

I just found the engine to be REALLY underwhelming, even though it was still quick to 100km/hour. The engine note owns tho, the real zippy rotary noise.

Are RX8s a hatchback, ie can access the boot from the back seats?
Trying to talk the Mrs into one, but she wants a hatchback/stationwagon so the dog (which we dont even have yet  ) can ride in there.

gojira - pm'd

Also good news, I asked my State how much my premiums would rise by having these wheels on my car, after a bit of fluffing around the lady told me it wouldn't go up at all, but the value of them has been added to my policy.

^wee bit of stretch there, will buy wider tyres once these wear out.
But I like how the wheel sits a bit further out than the factory ones.
