New Wheel Outers??

Postby Boosted_162 » Wed Feb 23, 2011 9:30 pm

Im trying to sort out a set of new wheels for my GTR, but still cant find anything great that fits mint. So im thinking of making my BBS wheels either all 17x9 or all 17x10 (currently 17x8/9 with 36/39 offsets). Wheels are 2 piece, and if i can, would like to make them 17x9 or 10 with an offset around +15, or even +30.

Anyone had any experiences? Cheers :D

I know Bateman Race Cars can do lips, not sure about a 17 inch though, otherwise Arrow Wheels might be able to sort you out?
When in doubt, down and out.

Interesting read! Only difference is mine are 2 piece not 3 piece, would that affect things?

Im not 100% sure, i was just told that when my tyres got changed (i think nick did them?)

Its very similar to this wheel, except mine has less spokes and less bolts.

Alot of BBS wheels seem to be made this way.

if you can get a pic of the rim from the outside with no tyre on it, that would be the easiest way to tell.

Here are some that 41 degree wheels (Gavin Bateman) built from scratch for me

I would be tempted to send Gavin 1 of your rims and let him decide if he can make new outers
