A341Le Celsior to A341e soarer for 1uz-fe

Hey guys, you may have read my earlier posts about this..


So Ive blown my a341e(soarer) and brought a a341le(celsior).

From what I have found out (from the internet which has next to no info i might add!), the a341le should have an 8 pin connector rather than 6, the extra 2 are for a sensor.

I might have to change the kick down cable, how difficult could this be?

The speed sensor cable could need changing, from memory its one or two bolts?

And the output shaft could be different, does this change over?

Ive also found some information that there could be different electronics?

I believe the bellhousing will be the same, although not a problem as i still have my a341e in my soarer and will swap over.


Any other information would be magic, thanks to those who have helped so far.

For a start... Although it looks like a kick-down cable its not. The shift points are, as you would expect in a ecu controlled car, controlled by the ecu via the tps and map sensor etc. That cable is the AT line pressure control cable; the further the throttle is opened the higher the line pressure in the trans is and the sharper the change. At low throttle it means a slow smooth change, and at full throttle the opposite, a quick hard snappy change. if the cable is not hooked up it wont hurt it youll just get a lazy change right through as the line pressure will be low in the tranny.

Good pics of both boxes will tell straight away, do they both have cables? I would have thought they were PWM control, well at least after a certain year they were. Most people just scrap these boxes when they buy engine packages or go manaul. keep looking you should find another soarer box

Sweet as thanks for clarifying that, i havent sited one of these boxes yet and im still a little bit noob so i dont know the names of every thing.

My box is still in my car. Car is parked in my driveway its got enough go to get it to town to the workshop when im ready to swap the gearbox.

My a341le is up in kaitaia so pending shipping on that one, I have managed to possibly have my hands on a soarer box minus bellhbousing and another couple of bolt on parts which ill be getting on saturday if all goes well so ill be able to make a hybrid out of all 3 any way.
