I checked and they are different part numbers, but I am 100% sure you can use Silvertop sensor with blacktop.

The only difference is that Blacktop does not utilise IDL switch.

The reason I'm asking this is because a couple months ago I had a few problems with the switch over from silvertop to blacktop ...I changed the harness in the silvertop and the ECU and replaced them with the blacktop harness and ECU....however the car "bogs down " under sudden acceleration. When the TPS (silvertop) is unplugged the car runs alot better. The problem with that however is that the engine light comes ...what I have done is to switch around the wires on the TPS and it drives alittle better..again the engine light comes on that's why I have asked the dealers about them....or it could be that it just needs replacing...confused that's what I am.......
The TPS is just a linear potentiometer, Silvertop uses same pinouts as Blacktop, it also has IDL switch wired, where blacktop is missing that wire, that does not affect anything electrically as it is separate switch.
Here is the picture: potentiometer is a voltage divider, depending of the position it will output from 5V to 0V, provided it is supplied by 5V (and with BT it is).
You could quickly check if it is outputting 0.5V when the throttle is shut, to see if it has not been set properly.
