TVIS 4AGE - low oil pressure + others

so I am fixing up a TVIS 4AGE, I assume is a bigport

the factory oil pressure gauge takes bloody ages to come up to pressure, and when you give it a bit of stink it drops right down again
what is this likely to be/indicate?
I solve the problem how?

Hopefully this is easy enough solution as it was planned to be a quick fix and sell on project
otherwise i guess the car would make a good racecar shell and/or donor shell

also some muppet removed the A/C, and the radiator fan stays on - I cant recall the plug i need to bridge to stop this happening, and I havent noticed one in the logical places (from very vauge memory) - wheres the spot to look
(this is assuming that this is what is causing the problem)

and further more, a pod filter has been fitted, so theres a few random vac hoses etc that look like they arent quite in the right place - has anyone got any pics or diags showing what should go where?

last thing (hopefully), the dizzy looks like it leaks a bit of oil - I recall (once again from my shitty memory) that this is common. Is it a problem? how do I fix/tidy it up?

Disconnect oil guage. Ignorance is bliss. :wink:

Dizzy leak is incredibly common, oil seal on dizzy shaft is usually the cause. If you're going to fix it, remember to mark the dizzy before you pull it out. :lol:

AC plug is likely to be close to the left strut tower, AC lines should come out of the fire wall and follow the left chassis rail down to the front (if they were / are there)

Leaking Dizzy, very comon issue, had it in the KE, replaced the seal and for added back up used a bit of gunk on there too, no leak after that

all the aircon piping is gone, so i'll just have to find the plug and bridge the wires
I was looking around that area and couldnt spot it last night

same as my trueno then, no piping but still loom /wiring, if i remember i'll take a pic later this afternoon / night of the plug and fire it through to you,

I was lucky enough to still have some of the AC line there with the other half of the pl,ug on it so just chopped it & plugged it in, solved the constant fan problem

I had this happen.
Drove the car to the service station, and as it parked it was just pouring oil.
You have to wait for the oil to get up to temperature before it will leak oil, so the first 5 mins shows no signs.

What a fun job it was to fix aswell ugh...

Just go to a bearing shop.
They have every possible seal you can think of.
I paid $6 for one Viton seal.
Should last a great deal.

Oil pressure sender unit could be faulty and giving inaccurate readings. Some units are known for doing this.

testing them properly is about 10x harder and dearer than replacing them.

while having another 5min nosey at the car tonight, i yanked on the oil pressure sensor wire (gently) and it came off to meet me - it was a bare wire, so assuming was just wrapped around sensor and was covered in oil

found 2 possible plugs for the aircon, but was too lazy to actually check which one was the right one. i should compare my other car to it
