The guy sold you it with "a stuck valve" could be anything. If your mechanic says its gone... it's probably gone :( My guess is you got it cheap?

I am the guy who sold it to you.

I told you very clearly that the ENGINE NEEDED REPAIR.

I told you it MIGHT be a stuck valve.

You got it for a very low price.

Your friends who seem to have much better knowledge about engines came with you to look at the car. They recommended that you should buy it.

You seem to be surprised that the engine isn't running very well.

Ken
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Yes i agree.
I have rebuilt the head (new valve seals and guides, head has been polished) and the compression seems to be fine but its still smokeing. I have no idea what else could be the problem. I thought it would be a PCV valve but where exactly is it located on a 4agze engine.
That might be the suspect of the blue smoke.

Thanks

All makes sense now. Amazing how the TRUTH changes the situation aye!

The engine just sounds poked. A mechanic has told you this. You got it knowing it had engine issues. Who determined it was only the head that needed repairs? Did you get the whole engine checked properly? It's all guess work until you get it checked properly. Ever played pin the tail on the donkey?

What oil you running?? Go thicker if it isn't already a straight 40.
Time to try one of the fabolous snake oil magic in a can additives, you got nuttin to lose.
Sorry about the valve stem seals & guides wild goose chase. I have no idea why so so many interweb recommendations about smoke & oil usage think that that's it. Good luck.

Also, doubt that it has a PCV valve, unless its a carb'd engine.

was helping out a mate with his B6T. didnt smoke like you say, idled rough thou like a subaru. had zero compress on one cylinder yes zero, and it was simply a seized valve. easy fix for those engines
ive had the same engine smoke like a train before, Ie Stream train, was just a $11 PVC valve, so could be worth a shot

yeah i looked for the pcv valve i couldnt find it.
Does a ae101 4agze have a pcv valve?
I opened the throttle body today and i saw oil in it as well as inside the inter cooler piping.
Where could the oil be coming from?
I think it oil in getting in the engine through the valve and thats why its smoking blue.

What's the compression?

There is NO valve.
It's an old tired thrashed engine with worn rings & lots of blowby.
If it was only smoking at high rpm & high G left handers, then modifying its crankcase vent would help.
Again, sorry that you were taken by someone(obviously a mechanic in name only) that claimed it was seals & guides causing it. Good luck.

I sincerely apologize for being a dumb $&#$% if the supercharged version of the 4AG has a PCV or 2.

I ringed up mankau toyota today they told me there are 2 pcv valve's on a 4agze engine. They can get it from japan which is around 80 dollars. But i dont know where the PCV valve is on a 4agze engine. Can anyone help me find it because if it is blocked then it will have those symptoms.

Some people say it has a PCV valve and some say they dont.
Again its a map sensored ae101 4agze.

read this, you should be able to track it down (assuming it has them) once you actually know what they do/look like

do you have the top mount intercooler on? it might be underneath it?

its a plastic nozzle that fits into a 14mm (approx) hole in the top of the valve cover, it will have an 8-10mm rubber hose coming off that going to the intake manifold

basically anything thats connected to your valve cover and goes to your intake is part of the oil breather system, i cant think of anything else like it
