Yeah i should have..

Well i think its the pcv valve

symptom 1. its missing.
2. its blowing blue smoke.
3. its got an oil leak under the car.
4. when i remove the oil cap when the car is on the air seems to b blowing of the engine instead of sucking in.
5. oil is inside the throttle body.
6. throttle is sticky.

Every single 4age/4agte in the history of the world blows out the oil cap with it off.

My brand new engine with 2000kms MAX on it breaths about as much as every other 4age/4agte iv had/seen.

i vote rings/pistons

Broken ringlands .com

Hahahaha

What a waste of time asking everyone on the net when all you have to do is pull it all to bits and fix it.
Afterall, the majority of forum users have no clues.
Obviously the last owner wanted rid of it because he knew it was broken.

It's funny when people pick up "performance" cars for next to nothing then moan that it doesn't run right and then expect to get it fixed for next to nothing.

If you were american and had a turbo'd Mitsi, you'd get rid of the PCV valve and fit Krankvents.
They're a special one way valve that mysteriously fixes broken ringlands by creating vacuum in the crankcase. Designed for Harleys, fitted to Mitsis owned by clueless kids, sold exclusively by snake oil merchants.

Yeah, this bugs me heaps...dont know if its a NZ thing or what, but does seem awfully prevalent in the automotive scene here.
Maybe its the NCEA generation expecting everything for nothing?
