Are a rear position a remote shifter worth the same, or is a remote shift worth more?

I have a remote shift and have been offered s swap, but would it be better for me to sell what I have an just buy a res shifter?

They are worth 'more'. But really depends on how much you want to $&#$% around trying to find a box with a rear shift, can be a pita sometimes, will find every position except the one you want.

^This

I just ended up swapping my remote for a rear shift as personally i dont think they are worth enough more to justify me $&#$% around for an extra couple of weeks of trying to sell it then trying to find just a shifter to buy

The shifters are inter changeable, and the remote shift can fetch good money, I think the last one i had went for $250 alone

Does the remote shift just feed into the top of a normal loading box?

I have heard of people struggling to select gears after doing this

I replaced the whole rear casing of the box on mine and its fine

Sort of,

The selector rod needs to be replaced as well, the cups were the stick goes in are different
The normal w casing requires 2 bosses to be welded on, to support the shifter
