1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar

Sometimes I read comments then look for a 'like' button.

Actually not really after a silvia, and I imagine insurance companies wouldn't like them with the rep they have as drifters and being stolen.

I had no trouble insuring my old 200sx, which was a standard turbo with manual conversion (listed 'modification').

Then it got FCKING stolen.

I FCKING HATE that you can't have a nice car without some son of a cnut stealing it!!

Infact I barely used my old AE86 in the last few years I had it for fear of being stolen. Seriously, WHY do we have to worry about this shit??!

I'm 99% sure that when my 200sx was stolen it was for the engine, gearbox, 5 stud brakes and the rest was disposed of by a dodgey metal recycler never to be identified again (a metal cube). Just think about how keen metal recyclers have been for steel these days, I get a flyer from different companies every few months offering to pick up scrap metal for free.

Definitely some dodgy characters in metal recycling. One of the Club K guys had his mint bugeye Starlet stolen, shell was found at a scrap dealers. Had only been there a day, was missing all panels but still in really good shape yet they had immediately squashed it and put a couple of cars on top of it to hide it.
