Nissan cube advice?

Postby TRD_ZERO » Mon May 23, 2011 12:40 pm

My mrs is in the market for a 2003 onwards nissan cube. I actually dont mind them realy. They have great fuel economy and have loads of room inside. I wouldnt get 1 personally but she is keen so thought id ask on here what people know about them. Any major issues with them? How reliable are they and so on? Let me know what you guys know before we dive in and buy a piece of shit.

Check for firewall rust. Basically put your face on the cam cover, and look at the firewall seams with a bright torch. I was shown one in a compliance shop that was packed full of lovely big ORANGE bordered holes.

What engine do they run? If they are the same as the March, then I keep reading about stretched cam chains too.

The early 2000's Cubes do run CR series motors, same as March. Depends what size motor, as they're all different.
Get a bB, they're choice ;)
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!
