The four seasons in Australia consist of "$&#$% it's hot", "Can you believe how $&#$% hot it is?", "I won't be in today because it is too $&#$% hot" and "Yes, the dinner plate size spiders come inside to escape from the heat."

Quick update from the D2 Supplier..

There are several changes from new generation-D2 compared to previous one.

1. The outside appearance is different.
2. Oil seal changes to Japanese brand.
3. Piston becomes bigger.
4. Strut oil changes to better quality.
5. Redesign the setting for suspension in order to have more comfort and safety for drivers.
6. Pillowball rubber top mount for better driving experience.
7. Bearing changes for better quality.

All of all, we do make lots adjustment for new generation which you are selling now.
Nowadays, the quality of D2 products is much more strong and better performance.
The D2 brand becomes more famous and bigger worldwide as you can see.

You notice the ride difference when adjusting the dampers on BC's! I can't stand mine with anything other than fully soft (well maybe up to 7/30 possible clicks) in my Corolla. Tried them at around half way (which BC recommend for "sports driving") and they car was waaay to stiff / bumpy / sketchy doing 90km/h over a piece of road that can be done comfortably at a speed much much quicker than that.

I got the BC's too, I settled for 10 clicks front, 12 clicks rear. I found that to be the sweet spot where anything softer OR harder than that causes the car to bounce around on the motorway and from my perspective in the driver seat it almost looks like the car is on cutties, although I don't think it looks that way from the outside.

It's an ST205 with 225 Toyo tyres with 50 sidewall, I think when it's set stiff the car bounces on the sidewall and when its set soft it bounces on the shocks??

I have to add though, it's totally stable (I think) if it actually were like cutties I should think I would have piled the car into a kerb or a ditch or something. Either way, nomatter what I set the dampers to, there seems to be an extra 30km/h++ cornering potential in lower gears before the car even starts to slide and even then its still really really quick to regrip

Is that rumour or fact?

I have some that I bought cheap/second hand off a member, (ae92.101.111 but will use in ae82 with modified top hats) but build quality looks quite sharp and robust - not teste din car yet though.

Yes D2 and K-sport is made in the same factory but with slightly different designs.

BC, ISC, STD are all made in different factories.

I never got why people equate things being made in the same factory to mean "of similar quality". Product B could be the rejects from the Product A quality control - that would certainly equate to a significant difference in quality.

Even ignoring that extreme, you can have completely different quality from two product lines made on the same machines, but to different designs, with different material specs, with different QC procedures, and to different tolerance standards - all of which are things that you would expect to vary between two lines made in the same factory.
