2008 Hyundai H1 2.5 CRDI issue

Has anyone heard of issues with these motors, and possibly a recall? My parents have really been impressed with theirs, so much so that they recommended one to their friends. This week a piston went through the block...at 15,000km. Hyundai have been excellent in terms of service and there's a new long block being fitted and a loan car provided.

The dealer mentioned a recall, which the numbers didn't match theirs, but google tells me nothing...

Haven't heard anything, most of the scuttlebut around work seems to be around the newer HiAce's being a lot more work to keep running reliably(without blowing up). There are a few H1/iLoads showing up at Courierpost but havent heard anything nasty about them yet.

Have they had any issues with dodgy diesel? One of my mates had to clean out his fuel system as it was "infected"

Can't recall what year our work one is. 78000k's on the clock and no engine dramas yet. For what it is it drives bloody well
